Interleague play started smoothly enough for our guys, as they stretched their winning streak to 9 thanks in large part to another stellar performance from Shoki Murakami (8 IP 4 H). However, even in that game, the bats did not even do a whole lot after the first inning. The second and third games were honestly quite agonizing to watch. The starting pitchers fell flat (though they were not disastrous) and the bats did next-to-nothing to support them. Time to come back home and host the Roki Sasaki-led Chiba Lotte Marines! Friday will likely be rained out but that just means the series will end on Monday (assuming the rains cease in time for the Saturday night game)!
