OK, there was so much more to the series than just keeping young phenom Roki Sasaki out of the win column. The ace did, after all, shut out our team for six innings. The good news is that he “only” struck out 7 and we did get guys into scoring position against him. Also, Aaron Wilkerson was up to the task of dueling against the best arm in the world. The team won that game, rode that momentum into Saturday, and came close to sweeping on Sunday but did not capitalize on a golden opportunity in the top of the first frame. Still, a series win means a 3-3 record in interleague so far, which is, well, not bad!
