This one looked pretty bad through the top of the fourth, as starter Shintaro Fujinami struggled with his command and the Carp bats took full advantage. A Yusuke Ohyama home run started the comeback and the batters got to Carp starter Ohsera in the middle innings. Unfortunately, they were not able to capitalize on their chances at the end. Fortunately, today the bullpen held strong, with shutout innings from Takuma Kirishiki (⅓) + Masumi Hamachi (⅔), Ippei Ogawa (1), Raul Alcantara (2), Suguru Iwazaki (1), Atsuki Yuasa (2), and Kosuke Baba (1).
