As I just finished saying on the podcast, when your team has to face good Masato Morishita (2020 Rookie of the Year), it’s not going to be an easy game. Take Koji Chikamoto (hamstring) and Yusuke Ohyama (back?) out of your lineup, and the task is a little taller. Thankfully, Takumi Akiyama and the bullpen were up to the task of taming the potent Hiroshima lineup, limiting them to just one run. The Tigers only produced one chance all night, but they got a run to tie the game. And lookie what we have here! Our foes the Yomiuri Giants pulled us a solid by stomping on the Swallows, so their magic number remains at three! Hope is still alive, Tigers fans!
