It’s how you finish. This is true of tonight’s game, the season, and also the Swallows game tonight as well. The Tigers got off to a 3-0 lead, but once again failed to put anything else up on the board after that. And ultimately, Neftali Soto teed off on a Masaki Oyokawa offering and the game was lost. The Tigers were 21 games above .500 at the 60-game mark (40-19-1, if I remember right) but are 3 games below mediocre since then. Oh, and Yakult walked their game off against the Giants on an error. They managed just one hit all night, but won. They get a magic number for the pennant if they beat us or tie the game. Time to sweep the birds.
