Haruto Takahashi has had some pretty epic starts against the Yomiuri Giants. Last season, he struck out a career-high 14 in seven innings of work at Koshien in a blowout win. This start, in the Heart of Darkness known as Tokyo Dome, he bettered himself. For the first time in his career, he went the distance, striking out 13 and only facing danger in the final inning. He also recorded a hit that led to a two-run eighth and ultimately sent Tommy Smugano to the showers early. All in all, it was a great Saturday for #29 and his fans. His hero interview, too, was as charming as they come.
