The Tigers have been bad at home of late. I mean, really bad. The last time they won a three-game series at Koshien was May 11-13 against the Dragons, and that was due in part to a rainout. They got swept by the Baystars three weeks ago at home, and wanted so badly to end the pre-all-star break season with a win. However, do you realize that the last time the Tigers played with a lead was Friday night in the rain against the Giants? Yes, it has been a long time. An eighth-inning rally came up short, and that will do it for meaningful NPB baseball until the middle of August… hey, we’re still in first!
