The weekend forecast for much of Japan called for rain… and it seems whenever the Tigers play in Hiroshima, precipitation comes into play. This weekend was no different. The first game (Friday night) saw the skies start spitting down water towards game’s end, but not in time to wash out a marvelous performance from starter Koutaro Ohtake (leads the CL with 4 wins, and has a sparkling 0.36 ERA so far), plus home runs from Yusuke Ohyama (1st inning), Teruaki Sato (3rd inning), and Johan Mieses (6th inning). Little by little, the team is showing just how strong it is. Next series starts Tuesday at Koshien Stadium against the Yakult Swallows.
