Game 36 vs. Dragons: Comeback Left Incomplete

Game 36 vs. Dragons: Comeback Left Incomplete
May 11, 2021

The first inning of this one was extremely promising. Yuki Nishi needed just nine pitches to mow down the Dragons’ first three batters, while Ogasawara spent more than that on Koji Chikamoto alone, who got a hit out of the battle. Jefry Marte pulled the same stunt, and the Tigers had an early lead. Unfortunately, two home runs from the Dragons (when’s the last time you heard THAT?) put our guys in a hole. Fortunately, our bats came through, putting up a pair in the fourth and the tying run in the seventh. Other chances abounded to take the lead, but unfortunately, a tie is all we got out of this one.
