2017 Spring Training Information

It’s almost that time of year again, folks! From February 1 to 28, Hanshin Tigers first squad will have its camp down in Ginoza, Okinawa. Yours truly will not be able to attend this year (see here for last year’s report), but am planning on doing some hard negotiations to get a day or two off and travel down to Aki, Kochi to see the second squad’s spring training, which will run for the same 28-day span.

Here is a quick look at the tentative schedule, which is subject to change, depending on the weather and other things.

First Squad — February 1-28 in Ginoza, Okinawa

Scheduled days off: February 6 (Mon), 10 (Fri), 15 (Wed), 20 (Mon), 24 (Fri)

Exhibition games scheduled: February 13 (Mon) vs. DeNA @ Ginoza; 16 (Thur) vs. Samsung Lions @ Ginoza; 19 (Sun) vs. Nippon Ham @ Ginoza. *All games start at 13:00!
