Hanshin announced on the 18th that they have signed a contract with Rafael Dolis (formerly of the Detroit Tigers AAA club in Toledo). He will wear number 98, becoming the first foreigner in team history to wear it.
Dolis had this to say through a club representative: “I’m really excited to be able to play on a club as famous as the Hanshin Tigers. I’m sure I can learn a lot from their great manager, coaches and everyone else on staff. I’m really looking forward to this opportunity and want to do all I can to contribute to the team.”
